Three more women have been stabbed in the latest blast of knife violence to hit Australia this week.
A young woman is in hospital with serious injuries after a violent stabbing brawl erupted in the early hours of Friday morning.
Police were called to the altercation in Hackham West in Adelaide’s south at 4am and found three women had suffered stab wounds in the fight.
Paramedics took a 21-year-old woman with multiple injuries to Flinders Medical Centre in a serious but stable condition.
They also took a 21-year-old woman and a 51-year-old woman to hospital with minor injuries.
“Investigations are continuing and police will be speaking with the three women and other people who were involved or witnessed this incident,” police said on Friday.
“Police wish to reassure the local community that this was not a random incident and all people involved are known to each other.”

The brawl broke out at Radom Court, and the intersection of Majorca Rd and Warsaw Crescent was closed to traffic while police examined the crime scene.
The incident adds to a sudden blast of brutal knife violence that has hit Australia this week.
On Wednesday, real estate agent Julie Seed was allegedly murdered in a random daylight stabbing in the Adelaide suburb of Plympton.
On Thursday, Brisbane was hit with two stabbings.
Paramedics rushed a 46-year-old man to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane just after 8am in a serious condition.
A man was also found at a petrol station with multiple stab wounds in the suburb of Annerley.
Julie Seed was allegedly murdered in a random stabbing at Plympton in Adelaide on Wednesday.
A short time later that morning, a woman was allegedly murdered in a stabbing attack in the Brisbane suburb of Hamilton.
Queensland police were called to an Oxford St address in the leafy suburb east of the CBD after reports of a disturbance.
They allege a 55-year-old woman entered a unit and stabbed the 43-year-old resident.
The alleged victim sustained several serious stab wounds and was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where she later died, police said.
“Police will allege the two women were known to each other but not in a familial setting,” the police said.
