Pip Edwards and best friend Claire Tregoning had a “spectacular falling out” that is threatening their activewear label, it has been claimed.
A popular Australian fashion brand has shut down claims the company’s co-creators have had a “spectacular falling out”.
P.E. Nation has been rocked by rumours its co-founders, influencer Pip Edwards and best friend Claire Tregoning, have fell out during a luxury business trip to the UK in November.
The “feud” between the pair, who met when they both worked for Sass & Bide as designers, has allegedly become so bad Tregoning’s office has been “cleared out and turned into a creative space”.
News.com.au has contacted P.E. Nation for comment.
A spokesperson for the brand, which launched in 2015, has denied the rumours, stating they remain “committed and collaborative business partners” in a statement issued to Daily Mail Australia.
However, the brand did comment on Claire’s “months-long absence” which began in December, stating the 42-year-old was on “sabbatical for a few months”.
“Claire is taking some well-earned time off and remains an important part of P.E. Nation,” the spokesperson said.
“Whilst Claire is not in the office, we are using her office space for other purposes, including a meeting and creative room.”
Tregoning shared that sentiment in a personal statement issued to the publication, stating: “The business and Pip have both been great supporters of my sabbatical and I am grateful to have this time off with my family.”
Rumours Edwards and Tregoning had been butting heads began after a mystery source told Daily Mail Australia “Pip and Claire have had a falling out”.
The unidentified person is reportedly “a source with knowledge of the company’s internal dealings” who further claimed Tregoning’s leave had been extended numerous times since she first took a break in December.
Around the same time, Tregoning announced the launch of her new business venture in Byron Bay, a luxury accommodation called “Sun Ranch”.
“I am getting very itchy and excited about revealing this new project me and my great mates have been working on,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.
“Sun Ranch is a 1970s-inspired offbeat luxury 55-acre estate,’ according its social channels
“An ultra chic five-room guesthouse and six epic barns. Abundant with unpretentious good times. Coming 2023.”

She also confirmed her split from husband Timothy in December, revealing they had separated eight months earlier.
Tregoning and the filmmaker, 40, share two children together, and decided to keep their break-up under wraps for most of last year, stating at the time they “still love each other”.
“It is very amicable, we still love each other, we are co-parenting and he remains a great friend,” she told The Sydney Morning Herald.
“Things change and that’s just what happened for us, but we are getting through that with a lot of respect and support for each other.”
Edwards hasn’t commented on the reports but has updated her Instagram Stories on Thursday showing she’s at work on a photo shoot for the brand.
She recently shared a series of snaps wearing a black bodysuit from the label’s new lace collection which caused a stir online.
The 42-year-old wore the black one-piece, which features a fabric bodice overlayed with lace across the thighs, to a gruelling fitness class – leaving many confused over whether the item was activewear or lingerie.
